Sylvie Bantle,Born in 1955, writer and filmmaker from Munich, now lives mainly in Kerala/South India. Traveled through Europe as a teenager, overland to India in 1977 and further and further around the globe – Southeast Asia, Africa, America, the Pacific. Between extensive trips - with a special interest in ancient cultures, indigenous peoples, wilderness - freelance fashion and costume artist for theater, film, drag shows, magicians, women, men and VIPs. From 1998 films in collaboration with husband Alexander Devasia, painter from Kerala/South India. Participation in international film festivals. 2000 Bronze Award in Tokyo for the documentary »Mortuary-Joseph«.
